The beginning

The production of ZITA has more than 45 years history. At the beginning of the 70s of the last century, in the city of Ruse began the production of thermoregulators mainly for household electric appliances.

After some time ZITA began the construction of a new production facility, where ZITA is still
located today. The government invested a lot of money in this venture and after a few years ZITA became one of the hardest working factories in Bulgaria at that time. Also started the development activities and introducing new sectors of production.

In the early 1980s, the Ministry of Economy allowed buying of several licenses for the production ofsolenoid valves, pneumatic distributors (inline spool valves) and solenoids (coils) for them. Thelicenses were bought from then the largest and well-known West German company HERION. Thisallowed ZITA to become the largest producer of solenoid valves in Eastern Europe and the CIScountries. Years of growth, in which the plant was one of the largest exporters of Bulgaria, sellingalmost all over the world, with staff of over 1000 people, working on two and sometimes on threeshifts.

ZITA's new history, however is not so glamorous. After 1990 (the time of transition), because of the great economic process of ‘Mass Privatization’ and the stupid actions of several Bulgarian governments, ZITA was privatized. Huge damages have been suffered to the production and the production facilities.

In 2006, as a result of the careless behaviour of the owners of ZITA and the accumulated debts to the government, through the Agency for State Receivables, to our family was given the opportunity to buy the production base of the plant.

Our business is family owned with over thirty years experience. During our entire history as a private organization, we have always been mainly involved in manufacturing and sideline trading in sectors of household chemistry, fluid control and treatment of fluids in the machine engineering.

OUR SOLENOID VALVES AND INLINE SPOOL VALVES

ZITA was established in 1966 such as Plant for Measuring Temperature Engineering andEquipment. At the beginning, manufactures thermostats for machine-building and householdappliances.

In 1980, ZITA buys from the world-famous company Herion license for production ofsolenoid valves and inline spool valves. After several years, ZITA was established as one of thelargest Bulgarian producers and exporters.From 2006 year company ZITA BULGARIA is with 100% private participation and with staff of 50people, with a tendency to increase the staff.

The main productions of ZITA are high quality solenoid valves and inline spool valves produced under German license documentation,designed for automation, pneumatics, hydraulics, household equipment, etc. Our technical andindustrial know-how is result of 40 years experience associated with the production andresearches made all over the years.

For us this is valuable and important heritage thatstimulates us to improve the quality of our solenoid valves and inline spool valves. We want to offer our customers completely secured and reliable products, taking into consideration with themodern market.

To this moment ZITA is the only manufacturer of solenoid valves and leading inproduction of inline spool valves in Bulgaria.
